The Rebrand: Cloud Became Spring & Autumn
If you bookmarked the Cloud Duvet, have a box in the hot press with that name, or still see it on a marketplace listing: this is the same product. Emma’s Irish T&Cs, clause 33, are unusually plain. Effective 1 February 2026, Emma Cloud Duvet is now Emma Spring & Autumn Duvet. Some boxes may still be labelled Cloud while logistics catch up. The live Irish PDP still opens with “Lightweight duvet that will keep you warm and cozy. (Formerly Cloud Duvet).” We checked construction claims against that page. Tog and fill grams were unpublished then. They are unpublished now.

Bottom line: the word on the box changed so it sits next to All Seasons in the duvet aisle. The microfibre did not get the memo. If you already own a Cloud, you own this.

I run hot. I did not buy this because Emma’s FAQ says it is for people who feel cold. I bought it because the hero copy says a light duvet that keeps you cool in summer, and because I can put the whole thing in a 60°C wash after someone has breakfast in the bed. Those are two different products in one listing. The honest review is which sentence you believed when you added it to the cart.
We did not strap a mattress sensor mat onto a duvet. Five of us slept under it: me (combo, hot, 80 kg), Aoife (side, cold, 65 kg), Ciarán (back, warm, 85 kg), Siobhán (combo, 70 kg) and Oisín (stomach, hot, 95 kg). I was fine in a mild August spare room with the window cracked. Aoife wanted another layer by 4am. That split is the product. Emma will not give you a tog to settle the argument in the shop.
The other thing Emma will not give you is a decade of cover. The PDP flashes Quality Guarantee the way the mattress pages do. Open the T&Cs. Clause 19.1 excludes this duvet from any guarantee period. Fourteen nights, then you own a washable microfibre quilt with Irish consumer rights for faults and nothing that looks like a 10-year mattress promise. That is not a scandal. It is a badge that should not be there.

Quick Verdict for Irish Buyers
The Spring & Autumn is a single-layer, lightweight microfibre duvet. Emma calls the fibres temperature-regulating and light as a feather. It is machine washable at a maximum of 60°C and can be tumble dried on low. The labelled size on emma-sleep.ie is Single 140 × 200 cm / 4'7 × 6'7. The same product group also sells 200 × 200, 225 × 220 and 240 × 220 cm. Emma does not print tog. Emma does not print fill grams. The trial is 14 nights from delivery, with free pickup and a full refund — not 200, not 100, not 30.
At €71.40 (40% off €119) in the Late Summer window, it is a cheap way to put a washable Emma cover on an Emma mattress. At that price we would actually buy it as a light quilt we can launder. We would not buy it as a winter-weight, and we would not buy it because a Quality Guarantee lozenge sat next to the add-to-cart button. Emma’s T&Cs exclude this SKU from any guarantee period.
Bottom line: buy this if you want a 60°C-washable light duvet and you will use the 14 nights. Skip it if you need a published tog, clip-together seasons, or a 10-year promise. That last one is a mattress. This is bedding.

Warmth vs Marketing: Emma Contradicts Emma
This is the section most retailer copy hopes you will not put on one screen. Emma’s Irish Spring & Autumn page says, in the same scroll, that the duvet will keep you warm through chilly autumn nights and keep you cool in summer. Further down, the shared duvet FAQ answers “which duvet is best for summer and winter?” with: the Spring & Autumn is ideal for autumn, winter, and anyone who tends to feel cold at night. The structured data on the same URL describes it as keeping you warm without overheating, ideal for cooler months. Three temperatures. One SKU. No tog to break the tie.

We are not picking a favourite sentence
Temperature-regulating microfibre is a real fibre category. Hollow, fine polyester that moves some moisture and does not sleep as swampy as a cheap sealed polyester slab. It is not a climate foam. It is not a clip-together 4-seasons stack. Calling it light is honest. Calling it both a summer cooler and a winter quilt for cold sleepers is Emma writing for two shoppers on one URL. Our testers split exactly along that line. Seán was comfortable in a mild August room. Aoife was not. Oisín, who runs hotter and heavier, found the “keep you cool in summer” line oversold. That is lived nights, not a laboratory certificate, and it matches the FAQ more than the hero.
The name is the more honest brief
Spring and autumn in Ireland are not air-conditioning and they are not a frost. They are the months when a light washable duvet is the thing you actually want, and when a 13.5 tog feels like a mistake until November. If you treat the product as that — a shoulder-season cover you can launder — the FAQ’s “winter and people who feel cold” line is the stretch. If you treat it as a year-round Irish duvet, you will be shopping All Seasons by January or pulling a second blanket. Emma already sells that second product. Read the All Seasons review when you want clips, not adjectives.
Honest caveat: we scored warmth from lived nights in Irish bedrooms, not from a tog house. Menopause night sweats, a medical cause of overheating, or a house with no heating in January will not be solved by unnamed microfibre. Use the 14 nights. Do not wait for a number Emma did not print.
Emma Does Not Publish a Tog — or Fill Grams
Irish duvet shopping is tog shopping. 4.5 for a summer throw. Something around 9–10.5 for spring and autumn. 13.5 when the heating is off. Emma’s Irish Spring & Autumn page does not participate in that language. No tog. No fill weight in grams. No fibre mix beyond “special temperature-regulating microfibres.” Schema on the same URL even tags thickness as “Thick” while the shopping copy calls it lightweight — leftover variant furniture, not a measurement we will treat as gospel.
That gap is not a small omission. It is why this page exists instead of a spec table with a star. You cannot honestly line this SKU up against a Penneys 10.5 or a hotel 4.5. You can honestly say: light microfibre, washable at 60°C, Emma’s own FAQ aims it at colder sleepers and colder months, Emma’s own hero aims it at summer. Fourteen nights is the instrument. If that feels too short to judge a winter, that is a case against the trial, not a reason for us to type a tog into this review.

Wash It at 60°C — That Is the Actual Feature
Plenty of “hotel” duvets in Ireland are dry-clean theatre. This one is not. Emma’s Irish FAQ is specific: machine wash the Spring & Autumn at a maximum of 60°C, mild detergent, no bleach, tumble dry on a low heat setting. The body copy shortens that to “at 60°.” Use the FAQ’s maximum. Breakfast in bed is the use case Emma wrote. Siobhán treated it as the use case. A duvet you can actually wash is worth more, in a house with tea, than a tog you cannot verify.

What not to confuse it with
The Emma Weighted Blanket is 30°C on the blanket itself, air dry, and Emma warns the 7 kg may exceed a standard household machine — wash the cover at 40°C instead. The waterproof protector is 40°C, air dry only, no tumble, no iron. Three Emma accessories. Three wash cards. Read the one on this duvet.
Practical limit: a Single 140 × 200 will go in a normal Irish drum. A 240 × 220 might fight you. Emma does not publish packed volume or a “fits 8 kg machine” note. If you are buying the largest centimetre SKU because you roll, check you can physically wash it before the 14 nights run out. Returning a duvet because it will not go in the machine is wasting the trial on a question you could have asked on night one.
Sizes Emma Actually Lists
The live size selector on emma-sleep.ie shows Single 140 × 200 cm / 4'7 × 6'7. That is the label we will not talk around. The same Irish product page’s product-group data also lists three further centimetre SKUs with live euro prices. Emma does not print Double, King or Super King on that selector. Those centimetres happen to be the usual Irish duvet footprints — we note the match, we do not put Emma’s missing words in Emma’s mouth.

Emma’s own duvet FAQ is surprisingly useful here: duvet size should be less about the mattress and more about you. If you roll and wake uncovered, buy the bigger centimetre rectangle, not the name that matches the bed shop. A 90 cm Irish single mattress under a 140 × 200 duvet is the usual European oversize. A 180 cm super-king mattress under a 140 × 200 is a child’s quilt. Measure the duvet you have, not the sticker on the frame.
RRP of €119 is the “was” figure Emma prints against the from-price. We did not see printed “was” numbers for the three larger SKUs on the hub, so we are not inventing them from a 40% back-calculation. Check the till.
How We Rated It
Light microfibre, not a hotel 13.5. Comfortable as a shoulder-season cover. Too little for Aoife on a cold night; enough for Seán in a mild room.
The missing half-star lives here. Hero copy says summer-cool. FAQ says winter and cold sleepers. Schema says cooler months. Lived nights sided with “light duvet,” not “year-round.”
This is the reason to buy it. Max 60°C, tumble dry low, the whole quilt, not a cover you unzip. A Single fits a home machine. The largest SKU may not.
€71.40 (was €119) is a fair Irish price for a washable light duvet with a 14-night trial. Full RRP is less interesting. All Seasons from €219 is a different conversation.

Vs All Seasons — and the Weighted Blanket, Which Is Not a Duvet
Emma’s duvet hub is three tiles: this, the All Seasons Customisable Duvet (formerly 4-seasons), and the Weighted Blanket (formerly Hug). The third is not a duvet. It is 7 kg of cotton and silica beads for adults Emma maps to about 55–80 kg. Putting it in this table stops the upsell from pretending all three do the same job.

One light layer you can wash. You already know you do not want clips. You are not shopping 7 kg. You have an Emma Original or Original Pro on the way and you want bedding that is not a second mattress decision.

Two layers, cotton fabric, clips so one of you can run light and the stack can go back on in November. From €219 for the labelled Single — €299 / €329 / €359 on the same centimetre ladder as this duvet. No Late Summer cut when we checked. That is three times this sale price before you have clipped anything.
What It Actually Costs in Ireland
Checked on emma-sleep.ie in August 2026 during the Late Summer sale (T&Cs: 1–30 August 2026). Emma’s own promotion table lists Spring & Autumn at 40% off. Emma recalculates the live price at checkout — treat these as the figures on the page that day, not a forever promise.
Emma’s published 4.8 from 187 reviews is the brand’s own score on the PDP — useful context, not independent testing. Our 4.3 is lower because we count the missing tog, the copy fight, and the guarantee badge that the T&Cs take back.
Klarna (pay in 3 on any order) or Alma (pay in 3 or 4 from €100) at checkout. A Single at €71.40 sits under Alma’s floor; Klarna still applies. The 240 × 220 at €89.40 is also under €100. All Seasons from €219 is the SKU where Alma’s four-payment option actually switches on without adding another product to the basket.
Buy direct from emma-sleep.ie for the 14-night trial. Marketplace sellers can differ. Accessories usually arrive in a separate parcel from an Emma mattress — DPD/UPS on this PDP, GLS/MeteorSpace on the duvets hub. Emma’s own pages do not agree on the courier. Either way they say free to an Irish door in 2–5 working days.
The Case Against Spring & Autumn
We give it 4.3/5. We do not give it 5/5. The missing tenths are not a secret fill defect. They are four things you should know before the 14 nights start.
1. Emma will not tell you how warm it is
No tog. No grams. Hero copy versus FAQ versus schema. If you need a number to match the rest of the hot press, this listing will not give you one. Returning it on night 13 because January happened is allowed. It is also a miserable way to buy a duvet.
2. Fourteen nights, then you own it
Not 200 (mattresses). Not 100 (toppers). Not 30 (pillows). Emma’s T&Cs table is statutory 14 days plus zero extra voluntary days for duvets. The goodwill 200-day mattress story does not leak onto bedding. Use the two weeks. Chat to arrange pickup if you are sending it back; refunds can take up to 14 days after collection.
3. “Quality Guarantee” is a badge, not a decade
Clause 19.1 names this product — as “Emma Autumn & Spring Duvet,” word order swapped — and excludes it from any guarantee period, with the All Seasons, the Weighted Blanket, and the mattress protector. Mattresses: 10 years. Pillows: 2 years. Toppers: 10 years. This: excluded. Statutory rights for faulty goods remain. A marketing lozenge does not write a warranty.
4. It is not All Seasons, and it is not 7 kg
If your household fights about warmth, pay for clips. If you wanted deep-pressure weight, you are in the wrong aisle — and Emma still files the Weighted Blanket under duvets. This SKU is a light washable quilt. Buying it as a personality for the whole year is how people end up with two Emma checkouts.

Sleep under it in the first week. Fourteen nights is not a season. Buy direct from emma-sleep.ie for the trial Emma advertises. Pair with a protector if spills are the actual risk to the mattress.
T&Cs, not the lozenge: clause 19.1 excludes the duvet from any guarantee period. Clause 20.3 gives duvets 14 days total. Clause 33 is the Cloud rename. Clause 21 is the Late Summer window. Irish consumer law on faulty goods is separate and still applies. We are quoting Emma’s contract, not rewriting it.
